From the Eagles standpoint, trading away Vick could make a lot of sense. They have their franchise quarterback in Donovan McNabb, and he is expected to be back on the field for their next game.
In McNabb's absence, Kevin Kolb has proven he can be effective at the position. In the last two weeks he has thrown for over 700 yards and four touchdown passes, while completing 65 percent of his passes.
Multiple Pro-Bowler Jeff Garcia remains on the roster as a high-quality third-stringer. With all of these things going well for them, it doesn't seem likely Philadelphia would pick up the $5 million option to keep Vick next season.
