... been 10 years since Vinny Cerato joined the Washington Redskins as the team’s de facto general manager. It’s debatable how much power he’s had over the years; he was fired in 2001 by Marty Schottenheimer and he may or may not have been sidelined during the second Joe Gibbs era.

One thing’s for sure: the Redskins have gone through a few coaches, but Vinny has been more or less a constant. And those of us who follow the team are pretty sure that’s not about to change.
