An anonymous NFL source confirmed that the Packers had a contract near completion that would pay Jennings an average of $9 million per season. The contract extension would run through 2012.

He has earned his payday over the past two seasons, averaging 67 catches for 1,106 yards, 16.9 YPC, and 11 TDs. He is only 25 and has not even hit his prime yet.

Unless the deal falls through, Jennings will become the NFL's third-highest paid WR, and would also garner roughly $16 million in guarantees.
