They were especially impressive against divisional foes, recording a perfect 6-0 mark in their league games. Unlike the 2005 team, the 2009 team won with its defense. The Bengals only allowed 301.4 yards per game last season to rank No. 4 in the NFL in total defense. Their scoring defense was also impressive. The Bengals gave up just 18.2 points per game in 2009 (No. 6 in the NFL).
