... Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will not play against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Vick suffered a rib injury during the first quarter after being sandwhiched by two Redskins defenders. X-rays were immediately taken in the locker room, and the results came out negative.

The initial MRI tests today reported that there were no broken bones, and his return was questionable.

However, after further examination, the injury appears to be too serious for him to play this week, and Kevin Kolb will replace him as the starter.
