Then, the door provided a reality check as it swung back, hit the team in the face, and knocked them unceremoniously to the ground, well out of reach of their desires for playoff success. Let this slideshow serve as a reminder to all fans and players: your accomplishments during the season don't matter, unless it translates into a postseason berth. The memories I'm about to conjure up may be painful for some, but let it serve as a necessary reminder of the perils of celebrating a team's success too early.
