With two second-round picks after trading out of the first round to the Detroit Lions for the Lions' second-round pick, seventh-round pick, and swapping fourth-round picks, the Vikings' draft appeared to be heading in the right direction.
The Vikings' first pick, 34 overall, they selected cornerback Chris Cook. I was all in favor of drafting Chris Cook, but I didn't think it would be this early.
At 6'2" and 212 pounds, Cook is a big cornerback with good coverage skills. Not only that, but he can possibly play safety.
Overall, I think this is a good pick for the Vikings.
After that pick, Vikings fans didn't have to wait too long before ...
