Remember back to that fateful night on Sept. 3, when he committed the "punch heard round the world." It ruined his career. Blount was destined to be a first-round pick as he led the Ducks on a Rose Bowl run. But Blount got suspended 10 games, and basically shattered any chance at being a solid draft pick.
He didn't return until the Civil War that year, where he played very briefly, and then again in the Rose Bowl. Blount also saw a bit of playing time in the Senior Bowl under coach Jim Schwartz.
However it wasn't enough for NFL scouts. Most mock drafts, mine included, had Blount going between the fifth and sixth rounds. When he went undrafted, I'll admit I was a bit surprised...I thought for sure some...
