*Offensive linemen can't win. (Sorry, Gabe Carimi.)
*Freshmen can't win. (Sorry, Dillon Baxter.)
*Wide receivers probably can't win, especially if they're not actually catching passes. (Sorry, Julio Jones.)
Once the no-hopers are eliminated, though, we find that the Heisman is usually won around the margins. Team success, national exposure, a "Heisman moment" -- at the end of the day, those are the things that win, or, in this case, lose, college football's most prestigious individual award.
