... Those are my thoughts exactly.  Here are the main reasons playoffs would make college football suck.

The regular season would be virtually meaningless.

Rivalries would mean absolutely nothing.

USC, Florida, Texas etc. would ALWAYS make it.

There is zero shot for a midmajor to win it all (unlike now).

The evidence for claim number one can be found in any NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL or college basketball season in the last 20 years.
