This season in Tempe will look quite different than the past four seasons. Quarterback Rudy Carpenter passed through his four years as ASU starting QB with 10,491 yards and 81 touchdowns.
The former Westlake (CA) High School star was also sacked 146 times in his four seasons as the Sun Devil quarterback.
Although Carpenter put up sensational numbers for the maroon and gold, the saying "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all," must have been taken seriously by the Sun Devil fans regarding Rudy.
