With 185 yards rushing and 45 receiving, he accounted for 230 yards total yards and left coach Houston Nutt and the fans wondering what the season could have been like if Nutt had leaned on him this heavily the whole season.
Both Ole Miss and Oklahoma State finished the season at 9-4 but it was clear by the end of the game who the best team was. The final score of 21-7 did not tell the whole story. The game was very much in doubt until late in the 4th quarter.
