No formal announcement has been made by either school. However, Cincinnati has closed Thursday night's football banquet to the media. A couple of Bearcats players have commented on Twitter, indicating that Kelly's gone.

No determination has come regarding Kelly coaching Cincinnati's bowl game, either.

Other reports out of Ohio are that Notre Dame recruiting guru Rob Ianello has been named Akron's head coach.
