It was to be changing in many facets: a new logo, new colors, and consistent jerseys across all Spartan sports.
Fans shot down the idea of a new logo swiftly, forming Facebook groups that rapidly swelled and forced Hollis and Nike to cancel using the new design during the revamping of the university's image.
It was also announced that the green that Michigan State had been wearing was going to change as well, not by much but to a more traditional darker green. In early April the Michigan State University website underwent a change and is now clad in the dark green.
