It has become obvious to me that some in the Auburn family are in a state of denial about the sudden resurgence of Alabama football and the decline of the Auburn Tigers.
This is not an unusual phenomenon. I have personally witnessed the inability of other fanatical college football fan bases to accept reality when their once great football programs happen upon hard times.
Alabama went through this from 2000 until 2006. I now refer to this period as BS and AS: Before Saban and After Saban. For example, Alabama went 6-7 and 2-6 in the SEC in 2006 (BS) but went 14-0 and 8-0 in the SEC in 2009-10 (AS).
