... Jr., one of the top two or three prospects in the country, will be making his commitment announcement on August 18. It has been speculated that the announcement will occur at 5 p.m. on a local Tampa TV station and will be broadcast live on one of the ESPN networks. 

Wilder has long been expected to make his decision sometime at the end of the summer, but his high school coach Robert Weiner recently confirmed to Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Wilder would indeed announce his decision on August 16. 

Weiner did state, however, that the exact time and place of the announcement hasn't been set yet.
