Today, I decided to write an article comparing the Alabama running back to his father, Mark Ingram, a former New York Giants Wide Receiver.

Ingram was a member of the Michigan State Spartans in 1986, when current Alabama head coach Nick Saban was an assistant.

Ingram was selected with the 28th pick in the 1987 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.  I expect to see his son, Mark Ingram Jr. get drafted about in the top 10 to 20 picks in the draft.

In Ingram's NFL career, he also played for the Dolphins, Packers, and lastly with the Eagles. Ingram retired from football in 1996.
