And with it, we're starting to get a feel for most of the teams and players in college football, beyond just, “Wow, that Terrelle Pryor is fast!,” and “Hmm, Bill Stewart sure does look confused out there.”

As a matter of a fact, here are a handful of observations I’ve made so far, in no particular order:

• You’re going to have to knock the crown off Alabama’s head.
• Ohio State is the most complete team in the game.
• The Pac-10 is the most complete conference in the game.
• Auburn is legit.
