Okay, it's still September, so it may be a bit early to be so cynical, but on a weekend when the rest of the Big 12 went 10-1 (only Texas Tech lost—a 29-28 last minute loss to No. 17 Houston), it's getting harder to be optimistic about what October holds in store.
 
So, do we fold up our black-and-gold tents and call it a season? Nah.
 
A year ago, the Buffs were facing a ranked West Virginia squad a week after a dismal performance against Eastern Washington.
Few gave Colorado much of a chance, but the Buffs pulled off the 17-14 overtime upset.
