Now that BYU's BCS hopes are basically over (it would take an unprecedented chain of events for them to make a BCS bowl; yes, its still possible ), BYU fans need to root for what's best for the Mountain West Conference.

As much as it pains me to say it, I was rooting passionately for the Utes as Utah took a 21-0 lead on Alabama last year and eventually upset the Crimson Tide 28-17. I knew it was good for the conference, even if it was even better for BYU's hated rival, Utah.

This year, I have a much clearer and easier rooting interest as a fan of BYU football and the Mountain West. I'm rooting for TCU to go undefeated and play in the BCS nationa...
