During the last week of June, the Bulldogs received commitments from LB Deon Rodgers, S Alec Olgetree, and RB Kendrun Malcome.
Rodgers, 6′3″ 197-pounds, is out of Treasure Coast High School in Port St. Lucie, Fl. He committed to the Dawgs on June 25th after receiving offers from Buffalo, Western Michigan, and Duke.
Rodgers, who shows tremendous quickness (4.48-40), finished his junior season with 40 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks.
Rodgers is a 3-star prospect and the No. 56 rated LB according to Scout.com. He is currently un-evaluated by Rivals.com.
