... in the Auburn Quarterback competition, Cameron Newton has certainly put himself in a favorable position. It was apparent to me that this competition was a situation where one contestant simply had better tools.

There is no reason to assume at this point that Cameron Newton will not do exactly what was expected. He picked Auburn to win and lead the team—he is now well on his way to doing exactly that.

 

Practice Viewpoint

Auburn is going to have the best offensive line on the plains in years. There is a battle raging for the open spot. The unique part of this is, both players competing seem to posses NFL level talent.
