Finishing 11th in the SEC in total defense was nowhere near what the players or the coaches expected in the 2009 season. A lack of depth was the usual comment for the Tigers.
Depth no longer the issue is, if you allow a twist of phrase from a famous intergalactic character.
The defensive line will have Nick Fairly, Mike Blanc, Antoine Carter, and Michael Goggans. All four either started or saw significant playing time last season. Those battling for playing time include Zach Clayton and Nosa Eguae.
Linebackers Josh Bynes, Jonathan Evans, and Craig Stevens will be the forefront of the improved depth along this group of play...
