Pharr, a 2005 Shades Valley graduate, ranked as the No.1 lineman in Alabama and 11th in national rankings during his senior year. He was positioned as third string at left tackle behind James Carpenter and Tyler Love at the end of spring practice.
He plans to stay in the field as an assistant coach working in the summer camp program while completing his education.
Taylor Pharr has been dealing with repeated concussions and post-concussive syndrome off and on since last year. He sat out the spring game due to symptoms incurred from an injury during spring practice.
