No matter what I did, nothing was working. Not changing my work environment. Not changing my girlfriend. Nothing.

Eventually one day I sat down, just about set to give up, when I stumbled upon ESPN’s spring football coverage.

With baseball season under way and the NBA and NHL playoffs in full swing, I had sort of forgotten about spring ball. But after spending roughly six hours reading ESPN.com’s coverage, I decided that the only prescription to my writer’s block was not only more cowbell, but more football too.

I ended up with “Five Spring Football Questions to Determine the 2009 BCS National Champion.”
