... UTEP Miners wrapped up the 2009 season with a disappointing 4-8 record under seventh-year Coach Mike Price, who has been unable to bring them team to over .500 during his tenure with an overall record of 34-38.

This season 12 starters return, including seven on offense. 

Fans will once again be optimistic for the Miners to post their first winning season and bowl appearance in five years.
