Students of incumbent schools look towards the basketball season with far more passion than that of football and rightfully so—especially after the results of this season.
Currently, the mighty unranked Pitt Panthers are in first place with a 2-0 conference record; however, their record overall is 4-3, which is hardly worthy of a potential champion.
Pitt's non-conference record is 2-3. Those two wins were against perennial powerhouses New Hampshire and Florida International. The losses were to the Utah Utes, Miami Hurricanes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
