Washington's late win over Pac-10 rival and highly-regarded USC helps Steve Sarkisian in his quest to rebuild the once proud Husky program.
It also helps the Tigers.
The strength-of-schedule component has been removed from the official BCS formula.
But it hasn't been removed in the minds of the voters.
And the voters would do well to note that LSU went into that same stadium in Seattle that USC did and handled the Huskies with relative ease. Sure the game was competitive, but only a Husky touchdown on the game's final play kept the final score from being 31-16.
