Last year, the Bruins lost eight games and stunk up the Pac 10. This year, they beat Tennessee even worse than last year when the Vols were a ranked team.
Lane was brought in to bring his offensive genius to a struggling team. But in this game, they scored less points than last year under foundering Phil. At least, Phil's offense put up three touchdowns to Kiffin's one.
Is this the improvement Tennessee fans expected? Right now, it simply appears to be a huge step backward.
