In 2008, the Red Wolves had the best defense in the Sun Belt Conference.
Up front, they will be led by defensive end Alex Carrington who was the conference defensive player of the year in 2008.
In addition to Carrington this defensive line returns three of its top four players. An issue though, is that the players after this initial group are true freshmen or red-shirt freshmen with no game experience.
Hopefully, Nebraska will be at full strength with the return of guard Keith Williams.
