Two weeks after getting cut from the Browns after a verbal run-in with linebackers coach, Bryan Cox, DT Shaun Smith was cut today by the Lions.

As you may know Shaun Smith punched starting Browns QB, Brady Quinn, in the locker room following a Browns game last year.

The Browns signed the 6'2 325 lb six-year veteran from South Carolina as a restricted free agent in 2007 from the Bengals in 2007 to help beef up the defensive line, too bad Smith never lived up to his contract despite playing in 15 games and started 10 for the Browns in 2007.

Smith would start nine of 11 last year and finish with 47 tackles.
