... but red-shirt freshman Willie Mobley has decided to transfer to UCLA.

I have had the distinct honor of speaking to Willie on several occasions and I must tell you, he's a class act and I'm going to miss him in the Scarlet and Gray, but I wish him all the best.

Willie's family recently relocated from Minnesota to the Los Angeles area.

I didn't ask him directly yet, but I also have to assume Willie expects to figure into the UCLA plans as a starter in 2010, so I do not blame him for doing what he felt he needed to do for himself and his collegiate football career.

And now he'll have three chances to beat USC starting next year and I sure hope to see it happen.

Tear 'em up, Willie. Go Bruins!
