Boise State is ranked 14, the highest preseason ranking ever for a non-BCS team during the BCS era.
So what does the ranking mean for this season?
If the Broncos go undefeated, they will be all but guaranteed a BCS bowl. Maybe a Fiesta Bowl rematch against Oklahoma? Or even a bid into the Rose Bowl as another first for a non-BCS team?
But what about the National Championship, could the Broncos high rank be a springboard into the biggest of them all?
