Virginia Tech's star running back, Darren Evans, tore his ACL in practice today and will miss the rest of the season.
Evans was the lone bright spot for the Hokie offense last year, becoming the first freshman in Virginia Tech history to rush for 1,000 yards.
He finished the season with 1,265 yards on the ground, and was a vital component in the Hokies second straight ACC Championship victory along with their Orange Bowl victory over Cincinnati.
