Virginia Tech Dealt Major Blow With Loss Leading RB Darren Evans

He is Virginia Tech's No.1 running back and the only back with extensive experience.
Tech was counting on Evans to take pressure off struggling QB Tyrod Taylor in the game against Alabama. This is sure to deal a severe blow to the Hokies.
Evans streaked through 1,265 yards last season and was the MVP in the big Orange Bowl win over Cincinnati.
Sophomore Josh Oglesby is currently listed as the backup running back on the depth chart. He rushed 38 times for 88 yards last season. They also have a heralded freshman that will now likely see game time.
