Jim Tressel and the OSU coaching staff received a big Christmas gift a week early when Plantation, Florida's Ryan Shazier verbally committed to the Buckeyes.  A speedy outside linebacker (sub 4.5 40), Shazier had originally pledged his services to Florida but reopened his recruitment after Urban Meyer's departure.  In the end, it came down to LSU and OSU, and Shazier decided to join teammate and friend Jeremy Cash in scarlet and gray.
