BCS Projections Week 14 How They Got Here: The Missouri Tigers went undefeated through their first seven games of the season (including an upset over the then No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners). Missouri found itself ranked No. 6 in the BCS standings as the Tigers prepared to play the dominant Nebraska Cornhuskers.
But Mizzou fell to Nebraska and then again to Texas Tech, and this team lost the lead of the Big 12-North.
Why No. 11: Even though we won’t be seeing the Tigers in the Big 12 Championship game, they did win their last three games (one of which was over a ranked Kansas State team), and they deserve a spot near the top of the rankings.
Staying Power: The Tigers won’t move around much unless the Oklahoma Sooners pull off the win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big 12 Championship, but even that won’t push Missouri into the top 10.
