Good evening, everybody.  Welcome to the live blog of today’s featured game between the top-ranked Oregon Ducks and the resurgent USC Trojans from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Today’s contest features the lightning quick spread-option attack of the 7-0 Oregon Ducks (AP No. 1 and BCS No. 2) and the 5-2 Trojans of USC (AP No. 24).

This match will pit two offensive masterminds: Oregon’s Chip Kelly and his spread-option against USC’s Lane Kiffin and his West Coast Pro-style offense. 

The Ducks are led by versatile quarterback Darron Thomas and Heisman-candidate running back LaMichael James.  The Trojans counter with second-year quarterback Matt Barkley and a host of talented receivers including senior Ronald Johnson and freshman sensation Robert Woods.
