Before 2003, the Hokies dominated the series against Boston College, stringing off seven straight wins against the Eagles. But then in 2003 the tide became more even.
Boston College traveled to 12th-ranked Virginia Tech and beat the heavily favored Hokies, and since then these two teams have become heated rivals, which may be news to ACC outsiders.
