Last season, the Jets ranked first in the NFL for rushing yards per game at 172.2. They used Thomas Jones and Shonn Greene, but now, Jones has departed to Kansas City, replaced by LaDainian Tomlinson.
By bringing in Tomlinson, along with receiver Santonio Holmes, it looks like the Jets may pass slightly more. Not to say they will become the Texans or Colts, but perhaps the gap between rushing and passing yards will thin.
The Jets didn't bring in Holmes to run obviously, and Tomlinson should get some passes in the backfield, especially on third down.
