After the 2009 season was over, many people believed that the Ducks would come into this year a top five team, but with the offseason loss of senior quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, those national expectations have been toned down.
As the summer months have begun to wind down the Ducks have found themselves in an excellent position to repeat as Pac-10 champions.
The Ducks have a strong and fast defense that has the depth to replace both Walter Thurmond and T.J. Ward, who both were drafted in this years NFL Draft.
