... the 2010 college football season only two weeks away, most preseason polls have been launched and dissected.

The Associated Press’ annual preseason poll was the final major preseason college ranking to be released.  As no surprise, the Iowa Hawkeyes are ranked in the top ten.

The AP has Iowa selected as the No. 9 team in the country. The Hawkeyes join three other Big Ten teams in the Top 25.

Ohio State leads the conference teams in the polls at No. 2, less than 100 points behind top-ranked Alabama. Wisconsin ranks three spots behind Iowa at No. 12. Penn State comes in at No. 19. 

The selection is the highest preseason AP poll ranking for the Hawkeye since the 1985 season...
