Now, Utah is off to help form the new Pac-12, and BYU is seriously looking at going independent.

Why?

Boise State jumped at the chance to join the MWC this summer, and Fresno State and Nevada took mere hours to decide to join, in spite of the fact that Fresno State will have to pay the WAC $5 million to do so.

Why are two of the founding members of the MWC leaving? I mean, there would not be the MWC without BYU leaving the WAC.
