Starting his fourth season as quarterback for the Blue Devils and entering his last season as Duke's leader in passing yards and touchdown passes, the nomination can only help the 20th ranked quarterback going into the 2009 season.
Duke, coming off of a 4-8 season and currently ranked at the bottom of the ACC Coastal Division, was able to help Lewis complete 224 of 361 passes for a total of 2,171 yards, 15 touchdowns, six interceptions and earn second team All-ACC honors. Lewis also holds lifetime records for Duke with 6,735 passing yards and 47 touchdown passes.
