- April 5 — The Arizona Cardinals signed placekicker Jay Feely (Jets) to a contract. Feely served as the Dolphins' placekicker in 2007, converting 21-of-23 (91.3 percent) of field goal attempts.
- April 6 — The Seattle Seahawks terminated the contract of tight end John Owens. Owens was acquired by the Dolphins from the Bleacher Report - NFL
