After a dicey second round that featured a reach with the 38th pick and a trade-up to reach for Montario Hardesty with the 59th pick, the Browns got lucky and McCoy was still sitting there on the board for them late in the third round.
McCoy has all the intangibles that will make him a great quarterback of the future for the Browns.
Even better, he's a winner. McCoy won 45 games as a starting quarterback for Texas and had a completion rate of 70.6 percent.
Browns quarterbacks had trouble completing passes last year, so to have a quarterback on the roster with that kind of accuracy is something that can not be undervalued.
