Appalachian State offensive line coach Shawn Elliott, a Camden native; is set to replace Eric Wolford, who is now the head coach of the Youngstown State Penguins. Elliott interviewed for the job earlier last week in Columbia before the Gamecocks traveled to Birhmingham.
Elliott, will receive a two year contract. He will also be given the title of run game coordinator.
"He didn’t ask for much. He didn’t even ask what he’s making. That’s the kind of guy I like,” Spurrier said. “He knew it’d be more than what he was making. I like those kind of guys. I was sort of that way myself at one time, and that’s the way you start out, I think.”
