... loss to USC and a mid-season letdown to Purdue, the Ohio State Buckeyes are Rose Bowl Champions. Coach Jim Tressel has always been a favorite of mine. Many of my Alabama friends share the same respect and admiration for the master coach.

Terrell Pryor showed the college football world that he can perform on the national stage and lead his team to victory. His strong effort yielded Rose Bowl MVP status, but it was a great team win. Contributions came from great players making key plays on offense and defense.

The Oregon Ducks fought hard, the Buckeyes were just too much for the PAC 10 champ to overcome. The Buckeyes are poised to have a high preseason ranking in 2010 and will be favored to repeat as Big Ten champion.
