On the field, Ohio State punched their ticket to yet another BCS bowl game with a thrilling overtime victory over Iowa. Jim Tressel has led the Buckeyes to five straight Big Ten titles as he climbs closer to iconic coach Woody Hayes.
Iowa's redshirt freshmen QB, James Vandenberg, played with composure. The difference in the game was the Ohio State rushing attack led by Dan Herron and Brandon Saine. Terrelle Pryor only had to pass the ball 17 times and the Buckeye defense picked off Vandenberg three times on their way to a birth in the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1997.
