Jones underwent surgery on his left knee in December of 2008, hoping to be healthy for the 2009 season. He played less than a week in training camp this summer before undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, which sidelined him indefinitely.
Jones battled through pain in his surgically repaired left knee all year, failing to play a single down for the Seahawks. Now, his season is finished.
Head coach Jim Mora said the team plans to give Jones some rest, allow the doctors to aid him in recovery, and reevaluate the situation prior to the 2010 season.
